The first thing I miss isn’t a what it’s a who. I miss my mom.
I have always gotten these liquorice sticks when I went to the health food store with my mom. I can’t find them anywhere.
I have found liquorice but not nibs!!!
Oh, how I miss going to the movie theatre and getting some Twizzlers.
Oh the joy of cream of wheat. How I miss the wonderful warm breakfast on a cold morning.
You don’t understand how much I miss pumpkin pie. I could eat it everyday. For breakfast!!!!
I had know idea how different ice cream flavours vary from country to country. I don’t want durian flavoured ice cream. I want mint chocolate chip ice cream. and I want it green! I found some non chocolate chip mint ice cream but it is blue.
I really want some perigees!!! From the freezer with some garlic sausage.
I could eat this coil of garlic sausage all on my own.
Getting Tacos that taste like tacos! oh how I could go for a taco bell taco with mexi fries.
I used to visit Purdy’s every holiday and stock up on Chocolates for the season.
My go to snack is not in my cupboard. Mary’s crackers and Tofutti cream cheese is really good. So are crackers with Daiya mozzarella melted on it with refried black beans and salsa.
I don’t normally like all dressed chips but when they aren’t even an option. it sucks.
I am so freeking tired of seeing shrimp, basil, and nori flavored chips and that is all.
Doritos are different in every country. They have different flavours and different recipes. I like the ones from Canada and The UK.
The wonderful crunch of Cheezies!! Oh so Cheezie.
I could so go for a Burrito right now.
FISH AND CHIPS!!!! with tartar sauce. Not from frozen.
Ok this is not an old favourite this was a new found favourite. Damned Pizza from Hell’s Pizza.
or Samuria Sushi,
or some Chinese food from the golden penny on Hastings street just past victoria drive.
or poutine.
I will refer to this list next time I am in Canada. Not like I will need to. But for supplies when leaving for another destination.
I have not been back in Canada since April 2014. I feels like longer.
Ok, ok, I mostly miss the food.
That isn’t the only thing I miss. I miss my friends and the seasons. I actually miss being cold in the mornings.
I miss the traffic being on the right side of the road. (although in Thailand that isn’t always true.)
Oh Hoppy Beer.
And these are a few of my favourite things.
